V-groove wheels are designed to guide equipment by rolling on inverted angle iron track, however, they can also operate off the track thanks to the tread on either side of the v-groove. While not designed to run on flat iron, there is a 1/4" opening in the v-groove that can be used with 3/16" flat iron tracks.
Cast Iron is the standard metal wheel used by most unless a heavier capacity or greater impact strength metal wheel is needed. For applications requiring more capacity or impact strength, check out the ductile steel & forged steel wheel caster options.
