Designed for heavy duty industrial use, our red & silver polyurethane on iron casters have capacities on par with cast iron & phenolic resin. The firm Shore A 95 tread reduces deformation under load for easier rolling & better push efficiency. The tread is mechanically & chemically bonded to the iron core to create a stronger bond that helps minimize de-treading. Unlike cast iron or phenolic caster wheels, the non-marking polyurethane tread is safe for hardwood, tile & other finished floors.
This wide use casters are ideal for warehouses, gantry cranes & other demanding applications requiring high capacities without stepping up to the cost of premium polyurethane on aluminum wheels. They perform best on smoother floors, though they can tolerate rougher surfaces as well. Because of the iron core, these casters are not recommended for consistently wet environments where rust may become a concern. Prolonged exposure to extreme heat & direct sunlight can also reduce polyurethane lifespan over time.
Polyurethane wheels come in variety of colors, tread shapes & durometers to meet your application needs. While the color doesn’t affect performance, the tread shape & durometer will.
