Polyolefin is a durable type of plastic that yields a high shock load while offering excellent impact & abrasion resistance. These wheels are lightweight yet hold high weight capacities. Unlike softer tread wheels, these wheels resist flat spotting over time. They are also impervious to water, washable, & highly resistant to chemicals, cleaning solutions, solvents, oils, & grease. These features, combined with their economical price point, make polyolefin wheel casters a popular choice.
We recommend polyolefin for a wide range of applications. However, its hard, non-marking tread can trap dirt & debris, which may scratch delicate floor surfaces, making it a less suitable choice where floor protection is a priority. If this is a concern, we recommend our thermoplastic rubber wheel options, as they offer non-marking floor protection while maintaining the same resistance to environmental factors.
*Optional hardware available: Stem Caster Wrench for #03 & 2C00 Series for fastening and securing caster to whatever you thread it into.
* To tighten the caster, locate the 3/4" nut on the underside of the stem & tighten with a 3/4" wrench. Refer to the product images for reference.
